As an actor Pam Tate has portrayed characters as diverse as Zelda Fitzgerald, hard-boiled Lorraine in Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind, pill-popping Violet in August Osage County, and sweet and kooky Mary in A.R. Gurney's Crazy Mary. Pam's directing projects have included full-productions in NYC. She developed and directed new plays at off-Broadway theaters such as Pulse Ensemble Theatre, in NYC. A favorite was Punch Line, by Jody Heaps, about an aging boxer with one last chance. Pam has directed and acted in dozens of staged readings in NYC and regionally. In NYC Pam studied acting with the legendary Michael Howard, Terry Schreiber, and Ernie Martin, among others. She was an observer at The Actor's Studio for several years.
