Thomas André Szabó

After his family's escape from totalitarian Romania Thomas grew up in the rural Black Forest region. He learned his craft as an assistant editor and VFX coordinator for cinema films. He earned his degree at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg with a feature film debut for ProSieben, for which he received the ProSiebenSat1 Primetime Award and the Caligari funding grant. In 2017, Thomas wins the RTL Startup Prize and gets nominated for renowned Grimme Award. As a director and writer he works for Arte, ARD, VOX and Sky Studios as well as a script consultant for HBO-Europe.
