As a Houston, Texas native, Leigh Reddick wrote and produced several short films, two feature films and a web-series. One of the first shorts she co-wrote and produced, Devour, won Audience Favorite at the first annual Splatterfest Film Festival in Houston. After moving to Denver in 2012, she wrote and directed her first short film, Imperceptible, in an effort to shine light on the relatable experience of loneliness. Imperceptible was well-received at several film festivals in Denver. Her short film, 3:14, will be released worldwide in early 2022 by High Octane Pictures. Leigh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Houston and has had numerous poems, personal essays and fiction pieces published in various literary journals and collections. Leigh is drawn to character-driven stories and films that highlight personal truths that reach universal audiences. Her language for telling concise and compelling visual stories which touch on broader human experiences comes from both her literary background and studies in poetry as well as her experiences living in different parts of the country. Her works have a unique and feminine point of view, mostly dealing with loneliness, grief, trauma and isolation. Currently located in Los Angeles, California, she is working on her MFA in Film Directing at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film & Media Arts.
