Miyoung Lee

Mi Young (aka Mi Young Lee) has been committed to making documentary films as a director, producer, writer, cinematographer and editor since 1996. Her films usually focus on issues of social justice, environment, gender or race. They have been screened at noted international documentary film festivals including Hot Docs, IDFA, Yamagata and FID Marseille and at venues such as Institut National d'histoire de l'art, France and Visual and Environmental Studies at Harvard University. She taught documentary filmmaking at Korea National University of Arts. She also worked for an art research institute, Hexagram in Montreal, Canada.
