Max Calligaris

Max Calligaris is a director, writer and French producer rooted in Brazil. He has a master's degree in New Media by The New School (New York, USA) with a focus on fiction narrative and documentaries. His main works are the TV series Psi (HBO), of which he directed 11 episodes and co-directed two. Calligaris is also the associated producer of the TV series based on Contardo Calligaris' books. Psi, that premiered in 2014, has received nominations to Best Drama Series (2015), Best Actor (2015) and Best Actress (2018) at the International Emmy Awards. In 2019, Calligaris also directed the second season (six episodes) of The Chosen One for Netlflix.
