C.U.L.T.U.R.E. born Enoch I Augustusel hales from the city of Marble Steps (Baltimore MD.). The youngest of 6 children, the son of a self published author and pastor Vernadette Augustusel and a hardworking blue collar hard noised farther Nathaniel Augustusel. He and his next to eldest brother John lived in west Baltimore until the age of 8. When a few life threatening events forced the young family to relocate to Essex/Chase Maryland a diverse area of blacks, Latino's and whites located northeast of the city of Baltimore. He attended Eastern Tech High School where he and fellow childhood friends Lawerence Kitrell and Rickey Benson fell hard for the mid to late 90's Hip-Hop lifestyle. Although born in the early 80's C.U.L.T.U.R.E. began to take a liken to Hip-Hop in the era most consider the last Golden era of Hip-Hop, the 1990's. After a failed attempt to join a local rap trio and his older brother's group he began to write poetry and mediocre raps under the moniker the Mis Unda Stood Child. Most of these early writings feature heavy spiritual reflections mixed with the harsh realities of growing up in a urban environment, almost reminiscent to Wu-tang, Nas, Common and Mos Def along with other East Coast rap groups of that era. Some of these influences can be heard and traced thru his delivery, concepts and mostly his view points on life, love and religion. However in his own words "my music is not a time stamp, but a constant growth in a philosophy that has been constructed from my interactions with the world that surrounds me, the cultures that shape the universe as we see and know it". C.U.L.T.U.R.E. decided after graduating high school that music was not for him. Like most 18 year old's he wanted to party and make money. Thinking it was impossible to break into the music industry the young C.U.L.T.U.R.E. was facing a crossroads, so he enrolled in a Community College to focus on his second love and try a more feasible career in the Automotive Industry. While attending classes, seeds where being planted by a friend of a friend TJ "Navy" Braylock, this new acquaintance introduced him to the indie side of music, but at that moment he did not choose to pursue music any further. After a few failed attempts at a successful and meaningful career in the Automotive Industry, C.U.L.T.U.R.E. decided he needed a change of scenery. So he left his hometown in search of brighter horizon's, his destination the Golden State drawn by the glitz, glamour and beautiful weather. While in California he slowly began to detox from the distractions he left behind. This detox was more like a even higher mental and spiritual awakening. After a long hiatus from Hip-Hop, and thru phone calls made to a elder cousin, and his childhood friends Lawrence and J. Maynor he once again began to put together poems and arrange songs. After being convinced to move back home to the Baltimore area he continued to hone his lyrical craft. At this stage he had become a far cry from the shy and miss understood teenager, C.U.L.T.U.R.E. had finally matured enough in life to have a story worth sharing. His first official project was a mix-tape released in 2014. This mix-tape was simply titled "Growing Pains". This was a concept project that followed him from the early 2000's till 2012, a lyrical autobiography. At the moment C.U.L.T.U.R.E. is hard at work preparing for his first major project release in nearly 3 years. A album titled "21 Days To Glory" , set for a June 2017 release.
