Having played Pumpkin Head in kindergarten, I was bitten by the bug. I developed observational and acting skills throughout grade school and on into higher education that eventually played out in my duties as a career civil servant. In 2012, when CBS, "The Goodwife" was shooting at my work facility in Queens, NY., production offered several open Correction Officer (BG) spots. Hollywood in New York. Having begun my criminal justice career as a C.O. in 1981, I now had the opportunity to play one on TV at a very real world set (prison). A twist of fate. After retiring as a parole counselor late 2014, I continued on to the path of acting professionally mid 2016. Studied at Stella Adler, T. Schreiber, SAG Foundation, Actors Connection, NYCastings... Had the honor of working with the great director Martin Scorsese on the film, "The Irishman" with Robert DeNiro, who is burying his character wife, where I played (BG) in the graveyard scene. An iconic scene moment. Have much appreciation for working my first (Stand-In) on Jerry Seinfeld's, Beacon Theater promo, "23 Hours to kill". Then all production stopped because of the pandemic. When production resumed, another door opened. Worked (SI) on (Halston 2021) for a 7-day active shoot, which taught me blocking and lighting principals. Have worked some 50+ productions from commercial to TV/Film. I'm comfortable on set. Recently played featured BG character Carlos Arena, a special housing (SRO) resident on NBC'S, SVU S22 E10. Played featured BG with Regina King on NBC's SNL S46 E12, in a filmed skit, "The Negotiator" as an NYPD Police Officer, which made me say wow. Yet, although thankful for all, I'm still acting silent. I hope to apply my acting skills to TV/Film with scripted lines one day. Living the dream.
