Rory James Leech is an actor, director, writer and producer based between Los Angeles, Houston and Toronto. He is the founding director of Misfit Toys Collective, and served as Creative Producer, Company Associate and Resident Dramaturg for two and a half years at Rec Room Arts Theatre Company in Houston, Texas. He is currently pursuing his BFA in Acting and Creative Producing at the world famous California Institute of the Arts, and is a graduate of Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. He has been honored as an arts activist by the Dramatists Guild of America at seventeen years old. As a theatre actor, his shows include: A Zoo Story, Spring's Awakening, Woyzeck, The Crucible, The Bald Soprano, Cloud Nine, Six Degrees of Separation, Scavengers, Ragtime, Picnic, Next to Normal, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind, world premieres of Rebel Yell, Hanging Girl, Youth Group, Teach, The Cost of a Mermaid Tale and Stories My Grandmother Told Me. On film, he has been seen as David in the acclaimed short film Salting the Fly, for which he won Best Actor at The Reel East Texas and Southern Arizona Film Festivals. As a director, associate director and dramaturg, his credits include: The Twenty-Seven Club, You Are What You..., Exit Strategy, Hansel and Gretel, On the Exhale, The Royale and Garbage Island. @roryjamesleech
