Biography

Aaron J. Brooks was born and raised in one of the poorest cities in America: Sebring, Florida. He attended Florida State University to study Creative Writing and worked on MFA student film projects before enlisting in the Marine Corps and completed basic training at Parris Island. Aaron rose through the ranks quickly, promoted to the rank of Sergeant in less than three years and was selected to attend Officer Candidate School in Quantico. Aaron was commissioned as an active duty officer after college graduation, earned a Top Secret clearance and served in several overseas assignments, deploying five times after 9/11: Operation Southern Watch as part of a UN resolution, Detainee Operations at Joint Task Force Guantanamo, Security Cooperation and foreign military training in Saudi Arabia, Operation Iraqi Freedom and his final overseas tour in Afghanistan.
