Ealie Dixon was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, a small city north of New Orleans. The son of Leonard Dixon, a truck driver, and Ophelia Dixon, a teacher's aid. Dixon attended Booker T. Washington High School where he majored in music and discovered his love for the piano and guitar. Dixon later attended Berklee Music College in Boston Massachusetts for a summer program where he studied music arrangement and piano. In 1975, he attended a Marvin Gaye concert at the Radio City Music Hall where he met manager, Stephen Hill. He was then offered a job to work for Marvin Gaye in Los Angeles. He moved to Los Angeles the fall of 1975 where he got his first experience in the music industry. Being a music major, he was able to get an inside look at Marvin Gaye's creative process and even participating in jam sessions during his stardom in the late 70s. Soon after, he took on a series of jobs such as sales and soon became acquainted with people in the film and TV industry. After years of working at different jobs, he eventually started his own company in 1999. As business progressed, in his spare time, he took an interest in reading books about screenwriting and movie making and realized that he had a passion for the art. For many years, he studied some of top screenwriting books on the market including "Story" by Robert McKee, "Writing Screenplays That Sell" by Michael Hague, "Making a Good Script Great" by Linda Seger, "Inside Story" by Dara Marks, "Screenplay" by Sid Field, "The Art of Dramatic Writing" by Lajos Egri, "Rewrite" by Paul Chitlik, "Save the Cat" by Blake Snyder, "The Hollywood Standard" by Christopher Riley and several others. He also attended various seminars for screenwriting at The Writers Guild. He studied acting with Stella Adler & Sandy Meisner to help get a better understanding of characters in his writing. He spent almost 7 years studying screenwriting and read hundreds of screenplays before he wrote his first script "Skin Town", a Female Driven Drama. In 2014, he started to write his second screenplay "Lotto Gang", a crime action drama. It was optioned by CM Films early 2016. Lotto Gang is now titled Streets of Money.
