Martin Oelbermann was born in Düsseldorf, Germany. After leaving school, he worked as a best boy, dolly grip and stuntman and spent a year as motorcycle messenger in the German army. He then went to Northern Ireland to study Theatre, Philosophy and French, graduating with a first class BA. During his time at Ulster University, Martin was an active member of Riverside Players, a theatre company specialising in Shakespearean and Jacobean drama. He then trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Martin has worked extensively in German and Austrian theatre, for theatre companies in Düsseldorf, Dresden, Hamburg, Mainz, Vienna and Graz. In London, he most recently appeared on stage in Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas. Martin lives in London.
