Emma Josephson is a working writer, director, and editor based in Portland, OR. She attended the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics and discovered her passion for filmmaking in high school. While attending the film program at Portland State University she began her career working on the sets of independent productions. She has extensive experience as an editor on commercial and narrative projects as well as a collection of branded content. Since then, Emma has written and directed many narrative and documentary short films. Most recently, she directed a student-produced feature-length film titled Fencesitters, to be released later this year. She also has experience as an editor and in the camera department on films like Background Noise and Karen Doesn't Dream. Emma's work reflects the environmental and social issues she is most passionate about. She strives to advocate for representation of all kinds in the film industry and is always open to collaborating with people and brands who value that same thing.
