Joanna Cristina Nelson

Joanna is a writer, producer, director from Venezuela. With a background in economics and management, she has worked in the entertainment and audiovisual industry since 2012, including theatre production and radio. She has produced and directed four short films of her own script. Her winning pitch for her first feature in development, Hunger, took the post-production award at the FEST 2018 Pitching Forum. She is a representative for Olffi.com, the world's largest database on public funding for film & TV, and also works as partnerships manager for FilmarketHub.com, Europe's leading online marketplace for features and series in development. Joanna has moderated multiple live events throughout her career, given workshops, and participated as jury member at pitching events and festivals. She develops her first feature films Hunger and Selina with her production company Vannel Productions.
