LaKesha Lorene is a Midwest born actress and award winning filmmaker. The emerging artist is a budding ingenue with experience working in both dramatic and comedic roles. A new face and film professional, she also has extensive training in theater, starring in 'Hamlet' as Ophelia, the regional tour of 'The Color Purple Musical' as Nettie, and Bunny in Dominique Morriseau's 'Detroit 67'. A diverse actor she loves the art of storytelling and the chance to learn more about the world through her character's eyes. Her training also expands to action roles as well. Her produced independent films have garnered national and international official festival selections including her most recent film, "5 Hours to Georgia" receiving the "Best Feature Film" award at the Circle City Film Festival in 2020.
