Jesse Conti was born on March 12, 1983. He is a Writer/Director/Cinematographer. He and his work have been featured within industry leading magazines and online publications. He is the founder of Chariot Media Group; a production house focusing on creating engaging visual content and brand management. Conti spent most of his early teen years and into his mid twenties as a musician. Self taught and motivated, he formed several projects, released multiple albums and played countless shows. "When I was 14, I started a band and thought, man, I really want to see myself and band-mates on MTV showcasing our first music video." After doing some research and seeking out advice from local videographers, he realized that budgets for professional music videos were astronomical (especially for a broke teenager) and he would have to pick up a camera himself and see what he could do... "I remember seeing music videos for bands like, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Silverchair, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam and thinking to myself, that's so cool, we need to have a strong visual presence to help tell the songs story!" "That's where the seed was planted for me, it's where it all began. I saved up money from my dishwashing job, bought a VHS camcorder and started filming random things. It was tough because I had no computer, I had no clue as to how I would edit the footage, so I shot and edited everything in camera. It was awful and amazing all at once. Planning out shots and hitting pause to switch angles, etc." During high school Jesse took photography courses as his electives. "There was something about film and the process of handling negatives that really resonated with me." In college he focused on television and broadcasting, trying to figure out what facet of the industry best suited him. After college and with little luck finding a job for a television network, Jesse decided to take it one step further and started investing in his passion. "The first prosumer camcorder I bought was the Canon XL-1, then upgraded to the XL-1s and XL-2. They shot to mini-dv cassettes and I found myself filling them up rather quickly, so when the Canon 5D Mark II hit the market, I jumped ship and went to DSLR's and now a natural progression into proper RED digital cinema cameras." He focused on music videos. Trying to get unsigned bands noticed with a strong visual piece. "There's a lot of talent out there and sometimes these musicians go unnoticed and fizzle out. The focus in my music videos and short films are to create a world in which the song is kind of the soundtrack to the characters journey. They both have to compliment each other and finding that balance is always fun for me." More information will be updated when it becomes available.
