Azucena Acevedo is a Mexican actress born in Torreón Coahuila. She studied at Casazul Argos Drama School. Before completing her studies, Azucena finished several films and musical theaters workshops. She has training in stage combat by the EMCE. She has participated in different projects such as "45 Grados A La Sombra" (FICMTY, FICQ, TJIFF, Cardiff International, FICUABC etc) and the Netflix series "You Cannot Hide" Directed by Alejandro Bazzano and Carlos Carrera. Among her theatrical work are "El asesino entre nosotros" by Mauricio Jiménez, "Karaoke" directed by Miguel Alejandro Valenzuela and "Le Chapiteau Tartuff" based on Moliere's Tartuff, where she played Dorina, under the direction of Luis Rábago, as part of the first laboratory workshop of the Mexican National Theater Company. She recently starred in the short film "Sweet Potatoes" winner project in the Student Academy Awards 2020 for Narrative Domestic Films.
