Radford White trained at the National Theatre Drama School and graduated after three years in 1997. He has produced, directed and acted in a range of theatre productions and short films since graduating. Radford, better known as Rad, was born in Melbourne, Australia and has been involved in both theatre and short films. Rad and is the son of Mary and Charles White, who ran child minding centres, after running a hotel in central Victoria. He moved up to Clarkefield in country Victoria with his family where they ran a 40 horse agistment stud for several years. Unfortunately, Rad's father passed away in 1978 when he was 8 and subsequently a lengthy period of family instability commenced. It was here that Rad's interest in acting began as a way to manage the challenges of growing up without a father. He also played a lot of AFL football achieving stints at Port Melbourne and junior development squads at AFL Clubs Essendon and Carlton. He studied at Victoria University and graduated with an honours degree in psychology in 1993.
