María Carmela Torrini

María Carmela Torrini is an Icelandic/Italian actress and writer living in Iceland. From a young age Carmela has been writing, acting and directing all sorts of projects. She wrote and acted in her first film at twelve years old with the Icelandic Film school and has been determined to act for the screen ever since. Carmela started her career doing short films, commercials, voice acting and TV shows. Carmela studied film making in Fjölbrautaskólinn við Ármúla where she made her second film, Rules of the game, that won many awards in film festivals in Iceland. From there she took part in courses and workshop abroad, as in Denmark, Odense and New York Film Academy in Los Angeles.
