Sean began writing in the early 90's, urged on by his friend, mentor and one of the worlds most celebrated special effects directors Derek Meddings (Thunderbirds, Joe 90, Captain Scarlet, Superman and James Bond) who advised on some of his early scripts and projects. They had a long friendship and Derek assisted Sean in becoming an in-camera practical effects expert, which is one of the most skilled positions to hold in any film/movie project today. During the 90's, Sean was asked by a local producer to write a script for a comedy (on the level) a television series, for which he won the Northern Screenwriters Award. He later went on to work for Zenith Television as a writer before briefly returning as an in camera practical effects technician. Sean wrote, produced and directed Agent Crush in 2008 (Amazon Prime), which stars an ensemble of leading actors and actresses including: Neve Campbell, Roger Moore, Brian Blessed, Brian Cox, Ioan Gruffud, Danny Glover, Ruby Wax and Rula Lenska. He also directed all of the in camera practical effects for this movie, in addition to developing innovative techniques required pushing in camera model effects to the next level. During filming on Agent Crush he developed a close friendship with Sir Roger Moore and was later mentioned in Roger's autobiography "My Word is My Bond" and to this day retains some of the most trusted friendships with film industry professionals worldwide. Today Sean (alongside his business partner) leads Dignus Films with their current project Midas, an all action based UK thriller that is currently in development. He has amassed a stellar crew and directorial team comprised of (Oscar winner) Brian Johnson and (Oscar winner) Peter Lamont. From 2008 to date Sean has completed a number of screenplays averaging one per calendar year, which has contributed to the company's overall slate covering multiple genres.
