Sean Gallagher is the Information Technology editor and National Security editor for Ars Technica. He is a former Naval officer, and has worked as a technology journalist since 1990. His first professional writing assignment was a history of helicopter combat and a guide to helicopter combat tactics, written for the "supplemental material" for the MicroProse game Gunship 2000. Gallagher profiled Kim Dotcom in a 2014 article for Ars Technica, which was republished by Wired. He appears in the documentary film, Kim Dotcom: Caught in the Web.
