Makis Fragkos is an amateur filmmaker living and working in the city of Volos in mainland, Greece. He was born in Volos. He studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras and holds a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Thessaly. He has been working as a Network Engineer since 1999 but his true calling seems to be in the art of filmmaking. Eventually he decided to attend classes and seminars in "Film Directing" and "Direction of Photography for film". He has also had some training in acting through the participation in a local theater company. He is a true cinephile having a soft spot for horror and thriller films. His major influences are quite diverse; David Lynch, Dario Argento, John Carpenter, Alain Resnais, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Ken Russel just to name a few. He has participated in various short films and video art mainly as director of photography, editor and actor. His first film is called "Erebos" and is inspired by the weirdness of H.P. Lovecraft. It has been selected by the "H.P. Lovecraft film festival" in Portland USA, by the "A Night of Horror International Film Festival" in Sydney Australia and "Terror Cordoba" international film festival in Cordoba Spain.
