Rita Casman, Actor and Filmmaker As an actor, Rita Casman specializes in Comedy and Horror. Her mission is Tell others' stories through her own with empathy, joy, compassion, leadership and light - touching the hearts of other artists as well so they too can join her - having philanthropy tied to all of what she does as well as help people all around the world Monetarily and Spiritually. She believes that the Entertainment Industry is much more than meets the eye, it educates and brings awareness in many subjects that need to be discussed. Rita Casman has been an Entrepreneur for over 8 years. This role allowed her to work with Carlos Arguello, an Artistic Director in Hollywood that has worked on projects with Bruce Willis, Michael Jackson, among others. After working with Carlos, she was reminded of her dream and life purpose, so with a few luggage cases and 70$ in her pocket, she took her first airplane trip to LA. As a child, she was always connected with the English Language and started speaking it almost at the same time as she started speaking Spanish. She was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala Central America. Her family is pretty diverse especially from her mother's side, being Third Generation born and raised in Guatemala and coming from Italy, Spain and Hong Kong. Rita has been raised around those cultures and feels identified with them. She inhales and exhales an Immigrant and Entrepreneurial Spirit. Her interests and passions are Spirituality, Philanthropy, Entrepreneurship, Studying, Meeting new people, Sports, Art, Self-Development, Traveling, Dancing, Music and other cultural backgrounds. She is very goal oriented and is looking forward to becoming SAG-AFTRA and learn new languages and dialects. Her main value is Integrity. Rita's best actress award winning and courageous performance as Rita/Evil Rita in "Shadow Wall" gave us a sincere and in depth look at the light and dark that all of us face within ourselves everyday - by Dreamachine International Film Festival. She also wrote and produced it. The film was screened in 2019 at the Glendale International Film Festival. She is very fond of Shakespeare and added lines from "The Scottish Play". Rita's education and training includes a Bachelor Degree in Communication and Design, Master in International Relations, Diplomacy and Public Image as well as an MFA in Acting for film from The New York Film Academy. She has taken several Seminars and courses in different disciplines as has been training for over 4 years with several of Hollywood's best like Joseph Pearlman, Bob Garrett, Eliza Schneider, Mike Pointer, Bobby Chance, Valorie Hubbard, JD Ferrantino, Sam Christensen, Guy Stevenson, Tish Hicks, among many others. Her upcoming projects include writing comedy sketches, a dramatic script that takes place in between the 1400 and 1800s and a web series based on her film "Shadow Wall".
