DavRicia L. Hughes' passion comes from her creative writing and avid reading early in her life. Soon, she started falling in love with film and television and theatre. She wrote her first play in 2nd Grade. She started writing poetry in 8th Grade. In high school, Hughes was inspired by the Dawson's Creek series, and she started writing film scripts. After graduating high school in 2011, Hughes received a Professional Actor Training Certificate from Chattanooga State's intensive 2-year program. During that time, she re-establishes her skills in writing 10-minute plays. In 2013, Hughes traveled abroad to study theatre in London, England. She wrote a love poem in iambic pentameter from inspiration. A year later, she chose to attend Full Sail University in the film bachelor's degree program with an emphasis in directing and makeup. Attending the school to better herself in becoming a filmmaker, Hughes came to realize that she was interested in SFX makeup work. Hughes was a volunteer field producer for the Orlando Film Festival 2016 event. After joining the Director/Writer's Workshop at Full Sail University in late December 2016, she developed an episodic television series from a short film script. By early summer of 2018, DavRicia L. Hughes received her MFA in Creative. Writing and any role she is to take on in the Film and Television Industry, Mobile Gaming Industry or Writing & Publishing Industry will be handled with honor.
