Itaru Mizuno

Itaru Mizuno is a creative director and scriptwriter born in 1989, Nagoya, Japan. He is best known for the TV special Double Booking(2020) and internationally co-produced series CONNECTED(2022). He has been working for the production division of Nippon TV since 2012, where his creative projects cover comedy, thriller, mystery and also feature films. Double Booking was nominated for C21's International Drama Awards as the Best newform drama series in 2020. The crime series Red Eyes(2021) drew more than 19 million viewers and became a hit in Japan. His recent work CONNECTED is developed as a sequel of Double Booking and aired prime time in April 2022. It attracted more than 13 million viewers and high engagement especially from young audience, and became the number one twitter trend. Its unique "shared universe" format is ready to be expanded globally. Having spent his childhood in Falls Church, Virginia, he is a bilingual of Japanese and English and has cultural understanding of the US society as his background.
