A product of musical theater growing up in Los Angeles, Russ Rhea branched out into television and film thanks to his 6'7" height by being type-cast as a basketball player. His initial performance in the classic Cross Town Hustle episode of The White Shadow earned him another role as a college basketball recruit in ABC's The Lazarus Syndrome. Rhea's second career as a television newscaster led to another string of type-cast roles with performances in films like The Sand Dune in 2018.
