Tsengel Davaasambuu is Mongolian film producer and distributor. She attended and graduated from the University of Arts in "Cultural Administration and English Language Translation" from 1999-2003. She defended a Master's Degree in "Cultural Administration" in 2003-2004. Tsengel continued her educational pursuits further and completed career advancement programs in the English language in Los Angeles and Chicago from 2005 to 2008 at The University of California and Solex College. In 2008, she attained a South Korean government scholarship program and defended a doctorate degree in Public Administration in 2012. Her thesis was "Studying the development of rural areas in Mongolia on the basis of New Village Movement of Korea." She has also been conferred scholarships of Korean female researchers and awards of Lottie group. She lectures in major subjects at graduate and doctorate level at the School of Culture of the University of Art and Culture Mongolia as a part time professor. She has also worked as a member of the defense committee of the school since 2014. Also, she has been serving in the task force of the "Laws on cinema" in order make contributions in the film sector through her profession. Since October 2013, she has worked as the head of marketing for Tengis Movie theater of Ulaanbaatar Cinema, LLC. From the beginning of her employment at Tengis, she has formed her own hand-picked team and worked in close coordination with the management .Tsengel handles foreign relations, internal operations, public relations as well as content products. Movie premiers and public relations are parts of her day to day duties. Since 2015, she has initiated and completed a research work for the project to produce "Encyclopedia of Mongolian cinema II volume," which illustrates the progress of Mongolian cinema from 2000 to 2014. She has dedicated her heart and soul in the Mongolian film sector and has continued her work to promote cinema to the public. She, along with her associates, takes part in cultural events organized each year in collaboration of Ulaanbaatar International Film Festival and Foreign Embassies' cultural days. She is active participator of international film festivals and markets. Previously attended CineAsia and BIFF in 2015. She worked as a NETPAC jury in BIFAN 2016 in South Korea. Lately she is doing film distribution in Mongolia to International film market and festivals. Her distributing film "The Mother", "White Blessing" are successfully traveling around the international film festivals. She is planning to go Cannes this year in order to gain international experience. Her further plan is to create a Mongolian International Film Festival and officially nominate the best film to Oscar and Golden Globe.
