John Paul SWAMINATHAN is a catholic priest and film director, coming from Tamil Nadu in India. He holds diploma in philosophy, English literature, theology and a Master in directing cinema and producing TV films. With a background in documentary and commercial work in India, he has a strong network and knowledge of cinema. He has a special experience in working with marginalized youth in both India and France. John Paul is a member of Don Bosco Youth Service Network (Salesian of Don Bosco). His recent short film is: "ALIVE-la mort n'arrête pas la vie" is about a humble janitor who becomes an unexpected hero in the face of the violent terrorist attack at The Bataclan concert hall in Paris on 13th November 2015. The film won the best film award in the cinémathèque française on 5th December 2016 and the prestigious ALBERT R. BROCCOLI AWARD for 2016. He is preparing his first feature film: 2nd Chance with SAJE Production in Paris, France.
