Angie Loveday Solano was born and raised in San José, Costa Rica. She is a writer, director, and actress best known for "Machivellian", "Christmas Lights", and "Languages of Love". At 20 years old, she received her Bachelor of the Arts degree in Broadcasting and Visual Media with a concentration in Film Production as well as a minor in Asian Studies from Seton Hall University. Her first piece to achieve recognition was "Do Not Press the Red Button", which was created as an exercise for one of her film classes, and was selected as part of the SOMA Film Festival 2018. After graduation, she returned to Costa Rica where she was selected as one of seven finalist screenwriters for the Huawei Short Fest 2019 who then went on to produce the short film with a mobile phone. This became "Languages of Love", in which she combined dialogue in both Spanish and Korean. Her web series "Machivellian" was released in early 2020 and participated in multiple web fests. It earned her multiple awards and nominations in various areas. The series and Angie won Best Thriller Screenplay (Asia Web Awards 2020), Best Web Series Intro (Pure Magic Film Festival 2020), Best Song, and Best Supporting Actress (British Web Awards 2020). Her 2020 Screenplay "Christmas Lights" became a Semifinalist at the sixth ABCguionistas Short Script Contest. It also won Best Spanish Language Family Script at the ShortsScript contest by FICCH. Most of her work is released under Romano Productions and available to watch through the YouTube channel of the same name.
