Wayne was born and raised in Prince George's County Maryland. He started his journey as a filmmaker at the age of 14 after being exposed to a after school activity called Reel Media. Through this program Wayne and a couple of other teenagers made their first Public Systems Announcement (P.S.A.) "Stressing the importance of staying in school". Soon after he and his friends formed a group named Xpress Crew meant to capture creative concepts encouraging others in high school to get interested in film. After High School he continued his pursuit to be a filmmaker through a student media group in Prince George's Community College. Wayne covered a series of sports videos and packaged them to be viewed by the students. It was also around this time Wayne started recording motivational engagements for the Celebrity Rock star educator Brian Heat, creator of Diverse Male Student Initiatives (DMSI). These videos were used to promote African American and Latino men to go to college and finish their education. He also filmed projects for other celebrities including Tawanda Braxton, Raheem Davaughn and Debbie Morgan. Wayne finally started directing narrative projects when he transferred from Prince Georges Community College to Towson University to receive a Bachelors degree in Media Film. Out of the two films he directed his thesis project (Malpractice) won best representation in the Maryland life in the Ocean City Film Festival.
