R Freeman Sykes is an actor, comedian and writer. His most recent credit is as Dr. Holmes in Vertus Media's "Paramnesia" (2017). Freeman's return to stage and screen in 2016 came after an 18-year hiatus in which his principal role was as a stay-at-home dad. Prior to familyhood, Freeman performed in many stage productions, including a critically acclaimed turn as Rosencrantz in Pequod Productions' 1995 staging of Tom Stoppard's "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead" at the PSI Theatre in Durham, NC, before landing a lead on the small screen--very small, as in computer screen--in "Neuromaze," an interactive teaching video created for students at North Carolina State University's College of Veterinarian Medicine. Freeman is working on two screenplays and a musical, with the expectation of a sizzle reel to be produced in Summer 2017. He splits his time between Raleigh and New York City.
