Described as "audience-pleasing" by Broadway World and praised for his "clear, pealing voice" by the New York Classical Review, Gabriel has appeared both on stage and in film. He won rave reviews for his solo role in Marnie at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, including in the Financial Times of London and in Opera Wire. Forum Opéra lauded him as the best discovery at the Marnie's premiere and described his performance as "magnificent in its purity and candor". Gabriel's screen credits include young Philip in the FX show The Americans (Seasons 5 and 6), guest star roles as Eli in HBO's High Maintenance (Season 3) and Mikhail in CW's Supergirl (Season 4), as well as the lead role in Metronome (In Time), a short film that premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2019. Gabriel's recent appearances on stage include a solo in Marnie (Metropoitan Opera), a solo in Fault Lines (Museum of Modern Art, NY), as well as in Medea (Lenfest Center for the Arts) and Ami & Tami, a musical production of the Floating Tower Theater, both during its run in New York and also at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2017 (Edinburgh, UK). Gabriel is a member of the Metropolitan Opera Choir and plays the piano, in addition to his vocal studies. He has studied ballet at the School of American Ballet and ballet and flamenco at Ballet Hispanico.
