Gabe Braden

Gabriel Paul Braden was born on July 14th, 1999 in Rhode Island to Heather and Richard Braden. The 7th of 8 siblings, Gabe started telling stories from an early age through drawings and audio dramas. When Gabe was eight years old, he moved to North Carolina and was put into the foster care system until he was fifteen years old. After being placed with his father, Gabe moved to Detroit Michigan, where he attending Divine Child High School. There, he graduated from Divine Child High School with academic and artistic honors, before attending Chapman University in Orange, CA as a Film Production and Social Work double major on a full-ride scholarship. In his short film career, he has written, directed, and produced ten award-winning short films. His film"Jaded" was accepted into twenty national film festivals as well as winning the YoungArts Merit Award in filmmaking. His film Due Process has been accepted into seventy-seven national and international festivals, including The Cinequest Film Festival, The Top Shorts Festival, where it won "Best Youth Film," The Independent Short Awards where it won "Best High School Film" and The 2018 All American High School Film Festival where it won "Best Screenplay" and was nominated for "Best Director," "Best Drama," and "Best Overall Film" which just ten of the seven-thousand films are nominated for. His most recent films, Tell Me When To Forget and Stroke of Midnight have completed post-production and begun their festival circuit. In 2020, he is working on two dramatic short films, Where There's Smoke adapted from the award-winning This American Life podcast and Toy Phone, based on an event from his childhood. Gabe also has an extensive producing and casting directing resume, producing 11 short films, music videos and commercials, and casting over forty projects in just 18 months. He cast the Joji music video "Gimme Love" which has 19 million views on Youtube, and two feature films that are set to shoot in 2021. Additionally, he is known for his internships at Halleloo Film Production Company in NYC and Huffman Creative in LA, where he worked extensively on dozens of film projects in various technical, production, and artistic positions.
