Trae Edwards is a recording artist whose time has come - again - with his new CD "I Believed," highly praised by Joe Bonsall of The Oak Ridge Boys, multi-Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning songwriter/performer Michael Sykes (a Fayetteville native), and many top Country Music media outlets. Trae's story is an inspiring tale of talent, passion and a comeback. For 20 years, Trae was a Nashville fixture as a highly successful background vocalist and session singer. Artists he performed with were diverse legends in the Country and Gospel realms, including Naomi and Wynonna Judd, Trace Adkins, Ricky Skaggs, Michael English and the Gaithers. Family matters brought Trae to Fayetteville, N.C., where he quickly established himself as an in-demand photographer (he also worked for years in the fields of photography, graphic design and publishing). Occasional performance gigs also followed. But it wasn't until the summer of 2012 that Trae's career began taking a turn full-circle. Trae began compiling songs from a decade ago - "songs that were ahead of their time" - for a new project which turned into "I Believed." Other popular cuts from the album include "Take That," which has hit the radio airwaves across the country. With 2013 came a whirlwind media and performance tour that has taken Trae from Nashville to Memphis to Atlanta and Vestavia Hills, Alabama, where he was a special guest on "The Rick & Bubba Show," the No. 1 syndicated radio program in the country. Other Trae highlights include appearances on Sirius XM Elvis Radio, live from Graceland, Grand Ole Opry Radio, The Ken Coleman Radio Show and various television appearances. Trae currently makes his home in Nashville. Trae Edwards' musical philosophy is simple: "If you can touch a heart, you can change a life." Indeed, Trae is well on his way to touching many hearts with his musical message and songs that stay with you long after the last lyric is sung.
