Lorin Chun was born in American Fork, Utah. She is the daughter of Beth (Cole), an English teacher, and Ki Chun, an engineer. Lorin is the third of five children. Her early years were spent in Provo, UT, where she made mud pies and chased her siblings around the neighborhood with cups full of worms. When she was eight, the Chun family relocate to Lehi, UT, and she traded her dirt-filled cups for word-filled scripts. Lorin first began acting in plays, starting with "The King and I" (1999) at age 8, then transitioning in to musical theater in high school. Her productions include: "Aida" "Thoroughly Modern Millie" "Curtains" "Titanic: The Musical" and "Hairspray." She also played Hermia in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and Queen Maude in "The Princess and the Pea" in junior high. Although Lorin has had no formal acting training beyond her high school years, she continued pursuing music by participating in several audition choirs during her time at Utah State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Technical Writing. She now works full-time in her field, but still finds time to enjoy new movies almost weekly and indulging in the Broadway musicals that grace the stage of the Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City, UT.
