Luíza Fazio

An emerging Brazilian screenwriter, Luíza Fazio worked as an in-house writer at Losbragas, a two-time International Emmy nominee production company known for developing projects for Netflix, HBO, Turner, among other networks. In 2018, Luiza was the script coordinator for Sintonia (Netflix, 2019), a drama series created and directed by KondZilla - founder of the 4th biggest YouTube channel in the world. Previously, she was a writer's assistant for Samantha! (season one, Netflix, 2018), Netflix's first Brazilian sitcom. Her feature-film script adaptation of the children's book A Princesa e a Costureira (The Princess and the Seamstress) has recently won a script development grant from the Brazilian Ministry of Culture. A former journalist, she perfected her screenwriting education at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in the 9-month non-degree Professional Program in Writing for Television. At the age of 16, she published The Writer's Lab, a short story collection funded by the São Paulo State Department of Culture.
