Born in Croydon, United Kingdom. Jonathan Spiroff lived most of his life in Perth, Australia, where in 2012 he attended Curtin University, studying an Extended Major in Screen Arts. During this time Jonathan developed a deep love for the film industry, where he honed his skills as a talented film editor, screenwriter and occasional producer. Jonathan graduated with an Honours from Curtin University writing the thesis: 'An Australian Cinema Critique: Is the success of Australian cinema predominantly determined by a particular representation of Australian identity?', focusing on how Australian cinema is shaped by the country's own identity. During his career Jonathan has been an editor and producer for independent production company, 'Three Tree Productions', helping edit and release the half-hour documentary, 'Street Art: A Public Affair' (2015) which received a limited run in Perth cinemas. In 2016, Jonathan relocated with the production company to Vancouver, British Columbia where has continued to act as an editor for the company and other outlets. During his time in Vancouver, Jonathan found work in the local film industry working as a Production Assistant for well known productions such as 'Supergirl', 'Timeless', 'Lost in Space', 'Game Over, Man!' and more. Jonathan also co-founded the online video game podcast 'Double Dash Jump' which airs weekly on Youtube. Jonathan is also the creator, host and editor-in-chief of 'The Mono Report', a movie news and review Youtube channel, which also exists on Facebook. Jonathan has worked in the field of background acting on numerous occasions, having appeared in 'Top Knot Detective' (2016), 'A Few Less Men' (2017) and 'Otherlife' (2017).
