Miriam Guttmann

Miriam Guttmann is a director and photographer, known for Seeds of Deceit (2018). Miriam Guttmann (1994) is one of Netherlands' leading young documentary makers, recognized by Harpers Bazaar as Woman of the Week. Her film Seeds of Deceit won the Award for Best Student Documentary at the renowned Palm Springs International Short Fest, and was in the official selection for 21 festivals. In her work she approaches difficult subjects, such as identity, death, female sexuality, and the tragic but often abstracted story of displacement. While her work appears to be subtle, it is provocative at the same time. Miriam's work has a clear visual focus.
