Jimmy Prosser

Jimmy Prosser is a writer/director in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of New York University's (NYU) Tisch School of the Arts, Kanbar Institute of Film and Television, and his pilot for the limited series "John & Meryl" was selected by NYU Tisch faculty as an Outstanding TV Thesis. The script also was on The Black List's "Real Time Hot List," Runner Up/Finalist in Script Pipeline's First Look Project, and in the Rome Independent Cinema Festival, Chicago Screenplay Awards, ITVFest script competition, and Inroads Diversity Fellowship. Jimmy's recent short film, "FOOLS" (2020), won the Grand Jury Prize at the London Indie Short Festival, and was named Best Film Noir and Outstanding Achievement Award (Mobile Short) at the IndieX Film Fest. Jimmy's pilot scripts for "Charlatans" (drama) and "Flop N Rage" (adult animated series) are nominated for Best Writing at the upcoming Austin Revolution Film Festival (2020), and were Semi-Finalists in the Screencraft pilot contests. Flop N Rage previously won the Filmmatic Screenplay Awards. His short "Noteworthy" (2018) won several awards, including Best Original Screenplay Short, London Independent Film Awards; Best Screenplay (Short), Los Angeles International Film Festival; Best Screenplay, Top Shorts Film Festival; and Top Script, London Lift-Off Film Festival. Jimmy's Better Call Saul spec script, "Queso," won 2nd Place in the Scriptapalooza TV One Hour Competition, and won the TV Screenplay/Web Series Feedback Festival, and was a Finalist at the Cannes Screenplay Awards. Jimmy has worked as a Development Intern with The Weinstein Company/Dimension Films, Paramount Pictures, and DIGA Studios. He is the founder of the production company, Dimebag Productions LLC.
