Anais Saenz was born in Venezuela. Her parents are originally from Mexico and happen to be on a work assignment in Venezuela at the time. A few months later, they relocated back to Houston, Texas, where Anais has been a lifelong resident. Her filming debut was in "Glenn's Gotta Go", written by Brad Maul and directed by Levie Isaacks. There she played a supporting role as Bree. Anais began acting since Junior High School, but her theatrical passion was consolidated as a High School Sophomore when she played the lead role of Star in "John Lennon and Me". In this uproarious play, Anais effectively leveraged her own childhood illness experience in her portrayal of Star's life in a hospital and that year received Best Actress recognition. Anais played multiple other roles as part of her high school varsity theatre group and went on to enroll in the School of Theatre at Stephen F. Austin State University. So far she has had SFA Main Stage performances as Johna Monevata in "August Osage County", Esme in "Trojan Barbie", and Kerri (a mannequin come to life) in "Props". She has also participated twice at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on behalf of SFA. Anais has expanded interest beyond acting having developed skills as a makeup artist providing the makeup design for various SFA Main Stage productions. While still in High School, Anais directed a short story play called "Bro". In her Junior and Senior years at SFA, Anais increased focused towards filmography and production. Anais is fully bilingual (Spanish/English) and is well traveled. She has been to many cities and archaeological sites throughout Mexico, and visited Paris, London, Scotland, and various cities in the US.
