Nicolás Acosta Koenig is a Bolivian/ German and Argentine Film Director, Director of Photography and writer. He was born in La Paz, Bolivia, and moved to live in Argentina when he was 11 years old. Having a German mother and half of his family living in that country, he learned to speak German and English fluently. He studied Film and television in the UNC (Universidad Nacional de Córdoba), and Audiovisual Communications in the UBP (Universidad Blas Pascal), but didn't finish his studies because he started working in the Córdoba film industry in the Camera and Electrical Department. He always aspired for the director role, but as he gained experience through the work he was doing in other movies, he started to also work as DP, editor and writer for various projects. He gained some popularity with his work as a director in the 2017 short film "el Olvidao", which he wrote and directed. This short film won the 48hfp Cordoba edition end went out to compete against the other city winners in the Paris edition of the filmapalooza festival. The short also was officially selected for the International "festival de cine en las alturas" film festival. To the date he is working on his first feature film as a director and director of photography (a combination of roles which has become usual for him in his short film filmography), and has worked on numerous indie productions of Cordoba city as a Director of Photography, editor, and writer.
