Gavin J. Chalcraft

Originally from the UK, Gavin left a highly successful corporate career in global brand marketing and management consulting to train as an actor in the Sanford Meisner and Michael Chekhov techniques, appearing in theatre productions throughout California. His script, AFTER THE WAR, became a 2012 Nicholl Fellowship semifinalist. He established Golden Ratio Media Group with the express purpose of producing his own film, TV and theatre projects. The mission of Golden Ratio Media Group is to uplift and inspire audiences, using the ancient art of storytelling, archetypes and mythology in present day dramatic film and television. A well crafted story becomes a mirror held up to its audience. It engages them at their present level of awareness and then gradually begins to raise that level, until the story reaches its final resolution, at a higher plane of consciousness from where it began. In the end, it is about the potential that art has to reconnect us to our deepest feelings and harmonize the splintered parts of our humanity with the whole Self, our true nature, at the highest pinnacle of its unfettered expression. The entire mission may be encapsulated by the words: "Do not let the world darken your Spirit, rather let your Spirit enlighten the world." He is also a playwright, fine artist, sculptor and avid fly fisher.
