Guillermo Munro Palacio received his degree in advertising graphic design and illustration from Colegio Bernal in Mexico City. He is a published writer, with six novels, a book on regional history and more than 100 chronicles. His script for "La Ruta de Los Caidos" (Sonora), was purchased by Tequila Gang Films (managed by Bertha Navarro and Guillermo del Toro), Edher Campos and Luis Salinas and producer/director Alejandro Springall. The film will be released in winter of 2018. Guillermo studied film and advertising for radio and television in Pasadena City College and painting with Charles Cross, in Pomona, CA. He was a member of Nosotros, a group of Latino actors in Hollywood from 1974 to 1977 where he participated in theater, television and cinema. He studied editing, production, cinematography and legal aspects of cinema media at Sherwood Oaks Film College, in Hollywood, CA and studied film script writing with Enrique Rentería, Carlos de Llaca and Paula Markovitch in Mexico. In 2012 he was recognized as Emeritus writer for the state of Sonora in Mexico and in 2014 The Sonoran Book Fair was named in his honor. In 2016 Guillermo was distinguished as a writer with trajectory for that year at the Abigael Bojórquez state literary event, in San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora. Guillermo has held the position of Director of the cultural center in the city of Puerto Peñasco, Sonora twice, where he directed a dozen plays and was honored in 2010 for his artistic career. Guillermo's published novels are Hombres Valientes, No me da miedo morir, Las voces vienen del mar, Regreso a Puerto Esperanza, Los sufrimientos de Puerto Esperanza and La ruta de los caidos. Guillermo recently completed a book of chronicles.
