Ian Grant is an actor known for What Death Leaves Behind, Waltz, and Chase Street. Ian, the oldest of 6 siblings, was born in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He grew up in Coatesville, Pennsylvania which is about 30 minutes west of Philadelphia. He was born on December 8, 1974 to Valerie Faust and Franklin Williams. His stepdad is Norman Faust. Ian's middle name, Thomas, means "Twin and leader" in English. Grant spent his early years in Downingtown, PA where he attended elementary school at New East Ward Elem. He also lived in Brooklyn for a couple months during his childhood. Grant graduated from the Coatesville Area School District (CASD) in 1993. He earned his high school diploma from Coatesville Area Senior High (CASH). Ian was known as the optimistic guy with a genuine heart. One of his hobbies was playing pick-up basketball games at the Ashe Park playgrounds. Grant played on the same basketball courts as professionals such as international star Darrel Lewis and 2004 NBA Champion Richard 'RIP' Hamilton, both Coatesville hoops legends. After high school, Ian worked various civil service jobs in southeastern Pennsylvania. He worked for the United States Postal Services and for UPS. In 2005, he briefly lived in Little Rock, Arkansas before landing various roles in acting and entertainment. Upon his return to the Philadelphia area Grant worked in law enforcement as a certified security agent in Pennsylvania and New York. Ian has been hired security for many celebrities and national events including, but not limited to the Budweiser Made in America Festival in Philly (2013- 2015), Jay Z and Beyoncé during their performances, US Open in Queens NY Tennis championship rounds, PGA Tour in Long Island New York, and comedian TK Kirkland in Camden, New Jersey. Ian became a certified fitness coach and worked as a bouncer on the 21st century neo-soul Philadelphia nightlife. Ian discovered that he was a natural at performing in front of audiences and studied the craft of acting. He attended the Acting Studio in 2016. He also studied at Marc John Jefferies Acting Academy (2017) and took acting classes for film at the John Pallota Studio in 2019. For nearly a decade Grant has played characters such as detectives, club gangsters, security guards, stuntmen, and other roles in theater, television and film which have premiered on Netflix. In 2016, he played a thug in Deep Undercover. Grant played a detective in Dope House (2016) and in that same year he acted in the award-winning Indie Film produced by Rachel K. Ofori What Death Leaves Behind. In 2017, Grant played a funeral guest in the cable hit series executive producer Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson Power. In that same year Grant portrayed a club gangster in After Party. In 2018, Ian played the Netflix series Happy with WWE legend Big Show. Grant also worked as a stuntman in The Waltz (2016) a two-time film festival select. In 2020 Grant's featured in the Amazon Prime series Chase Street. Ian Grant has been awarded as the 2020 Spiral Film & Music Awards winner as 'Best Supporting Actor' in Film. He currently resides in Germantown Philadelphia.
