Lesley Ann Mehit gave a supporting role as Darla, a lycanthropic P-town punk, in Jonathan Morrill's 1990 feature monster movie, "Johnny in Monsterland". She and Jonathan co-wrote the scenarios in which she appears, utilizing her employ at Mojo's, a popular Provincetown eatery, as a location in the movie. Lesley chose her character's name based on the famous character from the Little Rascal film shorts; Darla Jean Hood. Lesley returned as Darla, but only in a cameo, in a hallucinogenic sequence featuring a lycanthropic transformation whilst riding alongside Morrill in an amusement park ride known as The Thunderbolt. The sequence happened spur-of-the-moment, while Morrill discovered that his real-life half-brother was working as a carnie in a carnival that was in Provincetown during the production of The Brides of Johnny in Monsterland (Summer 1991). Lesley Ann Mehit practices and instructs spiritual and physical teachings of Yoga, and, old monster movies aside, can be credited as Lesley Yogeshwari Vonderheide.
