A musician performing solo and in various bands playing a variety of styles of jazz, Latin jazz, salsa, merengue, mariachi, and pop; plays trumpet, ukulele, melodica, keys, Latin percussion and vocals in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese since 1995. Luis plays trumpet, ukulele, guitar, and vocals in his music. Luis formed the Latin Rhythms band in 1995 and performed in the Tennessee Valley unti 2009. In parallel with this he also played in the Soft Note Jazz Band from 1996 to 2012 covering Herb Alpert, Santana, Duke Ellington, and Brazil's Antonio Carlos Jobim. This band was twice the opening act for the world renown Glenn Miller Orchestra in 2003 and 2004. In 2010 Luis formed Los Tres Amigos Mariachi band, an Alabama based American Maraich band providing festive Latin music including country and Tejano (Texas Tornados) entertaining clients all across the Southeast from Florida and the Carolinas to Texas and Oklahoma including the midwest states of Missouri, Indiana, and Illinois, including New Jersey areas since 2010, also playing Bonnaroo 2016 in Manchester TN. Clients include NASA, Army Corp of Engineers, Home Depot, Taco Bell, Northrop Grumman, Direct TV, University of Alabama, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, UAH, UNA, Oakwood College, Southern Adventist University, Snead St, Cullman & UAB & Chattanooga Children's hospitals, Rivers & Spires Festival (Clarksville TN), Panoply, many breweries, country clubs, churches, engagements, weddings, receptions, birthdays, Cinco De Mayo, nursing homes, and city events such as Dia De Los Muertos including occasional Mexican Restaurant events.
