Hugo pinto was born on the 24th of April of 1975. His life dream has always been Cinema.Hugo worked on television (rtp,sic,sporttv) and works as the Coordinator of promotions on screen in all the 5 channels in the tvi/Mediacapital group. After directing several productions for television and sports, Hugo started is first cinema creation TU, a short-film about love that leaves the question why wake up? Tu/you in this short period of existence won 12 Awards including the Shortcutz Lisboa April Best Short , Shortcutz Figueira da Foz 2018 best short, Muvi Best Portuguese short, Portugal Internacional film Festival Best Portuguese short , Honorable mention on Cinalfama and Arouca Film Festival, London cinematic film festival Best Experimental Short, Experimental Short film festival Best experimental Short and Best performances among selections on Nypsff, Indie Lisboa, Figueira FilmArt, Avanca Film Festival and Madeira Film Festival. Espelho meu/Mirror Mirror is hugo's second short made for the 48 hours film project Lisboa won Best Director and Best editing, Fotography, best actress and best use of dialogue and Espelho meu was 2 runner up at the festival. The film was selected for motels one of the biggest Portuguese festivals and was nominated for best Portuguese Short. Selected also in Farcume,Bucharest ShortCut CineFest, Madeira Fantastic FilmFest,The Lift-Off Sessions,Independent Horror Movie Awards and Shortcutz FunchaL,Lisbon,Figueira da foz e Caldas da Rainha. Both TU e Espelho meu premiered in Festa do Cinema in Portuguese theatres and had screenings on tv programs like RTP's Cinemax and Canal Q on cable TV. A Escritora/The Writer is hugo's 3rd short, a movie with portuguese Stars Afonso Pimentel, Dalila Carmo and introducing Portugal's Star Singer Aurea on a short film. O Intruso\ The outsider based pon a tale by H.P:Lovecraft is the 4th short, a mobile film experience selected for the Portuguese mobile intercional festival Super 9. Cláudia Semedo is the lead actress in this experimental film.
