Eric Bergquist was born in 1993 in Weymouth, Massachusetts to Susan Patricia Bergquist and Todd Eric John Bergquist. He was raised on Cape Cod in the small town of Mashpee, Massachusetts which would later feed into his identity as a Bostonian filmmaker. During his time living in Mashpee, Eric was a member of the first-ever high school chapter of SMPTE (the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers). The group would eventually attend conferences in L.A. and New York, making a name for itself among regional leaders, in addition to running the school morning show and TV station. Bergquist would later go on to study film at Fitchburg State University, the first state university of its kind in the country, where he would make his directorial debut with his acclaimed short film Analogic (2014). During his time at FSU, Eric would found the FSU chapter of SMPTE, hosting countless student trips including two trips to conferences in L.A. where he would be in the presence of filmmakers George Lucas, James Cameron, and Douglas Trumbull. After graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Communications Science, he would immediately go on to Spain, working for the Gordon Research Conferences. This would be followed by extensive stints in Europe and Asia, visiting a consecutive 28 countries, and working additional sites like Tuscany, Italy, and Geneva, Switzerland. Between stretches overseas, Bergquist would work at a number of production houses local to Boston including BPI (Boston Productions) and Cramer Productions. In 2017, Eric would land a small crew role on the AT&T "Unlimited Wireless" ad campaign featuring Mark Wahlberg (dir. by Peter Berg). This would be accompanied by work on many more productions that same year including jobs on the Chinese tv series Wonderful Life, the Katie Fjorde German TV series, Father of the Year, and The Equalizer 2. During this time, Eric would develop a new TV series concept- one that would blend together film and television into one, like a rearrangeable narrative of sorts. Over collaborations with iHeart Media, A-Vision Media, Amir Now Inc. and a dozen other companies, he would garner a lot of interest in the series concept, drawing intrigue to both its ingenuity and simplicity. With his company Analogy Pictures, Eric would partner with companies Studios 15 and Nihilist Media as well as Filmmakers Collaborative (501(c)3) and later BrandedPlacement.
