Konstantin Nikkari

Konstantin was born in 1986 in Leningrad, Soviet Union. His mother (- 1.1.2013) was a Russian Finnish from Leningrad and his father is a Russian from Moscow. At the time of his birth, both of his parents were studying in Saint Petersburg Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, which is one of the most prestigious educational establishments of its kind. Konstantin's father is a designer and mother was a beloved portrait painter and a teacher in Lohja, Finland, where the family moved right before the collapse of the Soviet Union. Konstantin has two younger brothers. Performing art has always played an important role in Konstantin's life. He was immediately recognised as a visually talented child who also has a musician's soul. In his late teens, Konstantin graduated from a well-known local music institute with accordion as his main instrument. At the moment, Konstantin continues to play and sing. Soon after his graduation he became a freshman at University of Lapland, Finland, the world's northernmost university. During his studies, he went on a student exchange in Holon Institute of Technology, Israel. Konstantin is now a bachelor of art and design. He is currently (winter 2017) writing his MA thesis to obtain the degree of Master of Fine Arts. Summer 2016 was a significant period in Konstantin's life. He decided to give a try to something he has been wanting for a long time, a career in modelling. Due to all positive feedback, he discovered that his true talent lies in the ability to be picturesque and natural in front of the camera. Until then, Konstantin has pursued a professional acting career with a Finnish actor and director Markku Tuulenkari as his personal teacher. So far, he has been casted in one theatre play, two short films, three TV series and a handful of TV commercials. All in all, he has acted in dozens of different kinds of commercials, some of which have been for big international brands. In one and a half year's time, Konstantin did something that many Finnish actors can never achieve - he became a professional actor with an independent status.
