Ramiro Rodrigues was born in Campinas, Brazil, and lives there ever since. A former anthropologist graduated from University of Campinas (Unicamp), Ramiro has been dreaming of becoming an filmmaker since he was fourteen years old, self-teaching his way until his first micro movie in a student's contest: "Unicamp, Mon Amour", an 3 minutes essay film from which he won both the Jury Prize and Popular Award. After striving experimental, essay and compilation genres for years, it was time to evolve in fiction: for instance, Lighter than Heaven (2016) and Border Love (2017), both selected for the traditional "Mostra Curta Audiovisual de Campinas", reveals his research within stage actors, almost always about the frontiers between cinema and theater. Thencefoward, Ramiro congregated movie newbies and veterans from the Metropolitan Region of Campinas, rendering a annual itinerant exhibition with his short films productions or with historical Campinas' films.
