Tanya Carmona Daniels

Tanya Carmona Daniels is a Mexican-American Actor who was born and raised in Mexico City on July 4, 1978. She was given the name of Tanya Leticia Carmona Olmedo. Although Tanya grew up in the biggest city in the world, her single mother decided that it was best for the family to move to Cuernavaca, Morelos (Mexico) where Tanya continued her middle school education in 1992. Since her early years, Tanya enjoyed the Mexican Folk Dance style and performed multiple times a year at all her school festivals. Eventually, in 1994 Tanya and her younger brother immigrated to the U.S. where they lived with their oldest brother in Los Angeles, CA. Tanya attended Van Nuys High School in the San Fernando Valley and graduated with honors in 1997. Not finding great job or college opportunities in L.A., Tanya moved back to Mexico City to continue her College education. Tanya's first acting class was in 1997 in Mexico City at a local theater following the Stanislavsky Method. Acting was a natural thing for her and she decided to pursue a career in Communication Sciences, but not being able to quickly enroll in college due to an administrative process, Tanya had no choice but to get a job and she had the fortune to be hired as a Front Desk Agent at a five star hotel in the heart of Mexico City. Tanya dedicated 12 years of her life to work for a reputable international hotel chain working in Mexico City, Los Angles and San Diego which also provided the opportunity to attend college, obtaining a Diploma in Hotel Management from the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. In 2009 Tanya faced a massive company layoff while working as a Front Desk Manager in a hotel in Downtown San Diego and decided to move back to Los Angles to pursue her true passion, a career in Broadcasting (Radio & TV) as well as, Cinema and Television Arts. Knowing how hard it would be to succeed without experience in the entertainment industry, she decided to attended Los Angeles Valley College. Tanya graduated with honors obtaining an AA in Broadcasting in 2011, then transferred to California State University to obtain a BA in CTVA-Multimedia Production, once again graduated with honors in 2013. While in college, Tanya was cast for a few national commercials for Spanish language audience. Today, Tanya has made her way little by little working as a stand-in, booking commercials, voice overs and as a professional background actor which opened the door for her to join SAG-AFTRA.
